In 2022, we were deeply grateful to receive our first grant from the Northern Rivers Community Foundation (NRCF). This generous support enabled us to restore and rebuild 10 beehives that were lost to the floods to help strengthen community resilience and connection to land.
This first grant marked a meaningful moment in our journey, and we are honoured to have had the opportunity to contribute to the vitality of this beautiful region.
We are thankful to NRCF for their partnership, which helped us deliver our work with the bees on the land we cherish.
As we move forward, the continued support for apiculture and the health of pollinator populations will be essential for the health of Bundjalung ecology.
Thanks to the NRCF grant, we were able to reestablish 10 native honeybee hives. This restoration was a celebration of our relationship between country and culture.
